Can A Geek Be a Christian?

Whilst Reading this thread I realized that most people don't think geeks can be christians. I just want to know where this belief came from? This makes NO sense to me at all. I'm a Geek (so I think), And I'm a christian as well.

Is there something wrong with that?

Does My Faith mean I'm not a geek?

Do I even want to be a geek if that's true?

Security Software Coupons

It always makes me cringe when someone in my live chat room boasts that they are smart enough to not need any protection software on their computer. I shudder when they claim they couldn't possibly get infected because they watch what they download. Seriously, folks... in this day and age, do you honestly think that's all there is to it? Have you not listened to anything we've been trying to tell you?!

Your machine can get infected in so many… Continue

Kittens- get 'em while they're hot!

I found and tamed a litter of feral (wild) kittens that I am seeking loving adoptive homes for. They are approximately 8 weeks old, and are utterly adorable if I may so myself. There are 3 females and 1 male. They have been raised around dogs, and other cats, so are very well socialized. I live in the Long Beach area of So. Cal. If you're interested in adopting a sweet, beautiful kitten, and can provide a safe, loving forever home for a kitten (or two!) drop me a line, and we'll chat. *Serious… Continue

Useless facts?!

Did you know that a cat uses 30% of its life, to lick itself clean!

I LOVE useless facts!!!

I have tons of books, containing nothing but facts, that is of course... useless.

I was writing some useless facts, in the chat room at http://chris.pirillo.com/live/, when I suddenly thought about starting a blog about useless facts.

I thought about writing a blog daily, or at least every now and then.

Each blog will have its own theme, like: history,… Continue

The Fantasy of Privacy

Amazingly, a lot of people don’t know this. We lost most of our privacy many years ago. No one knows the exact date, but as time has marched on this free nation known as America has lost most of its freedoms. The freedom of privacy is only the most recent freedom to be taken away. I say taken, but the worst part about this idea is that it actually wasn’t taken. We’ve given it all to the government.

Most people don’t believe this. “We couldn’t possibly have given away our privacy. I… Continue

It's Pumpkin Carving Time!

I love Halloween! It's so fun to dress up and scare the bejeebers out of people. Not to mention the CANDY! Can you say an excuse to buy a ton of Peanut M&Ms? I knew you could!

This year I will have my ten year old nephew to help me get ready for the holiday. One of my favorite things to do is carve a pumpkin. Getting the kids involved to help "De-Goo" the thing is a blast, especially for those 3 year old kids that just get right in there and rip those guts right out. If you don't… Continue

Quicktip #18- Announce Time OS X

In this quick tip I show you how to make your mac talk to you. Most people don't know this because it is a bit hidden, but you can make your mac announce the time to you. You can set it to announce it on the hour, every 30 minutes, or every 15 minutes. You can also select the specific voice that you want it to use. As you probably could expect the voices don't sound realistic, but it is still a good way to keep track of your time.

[NOTE: In order to get this in Full 1080p HD so you can see… Continue
