This deal is too good to be true

One thing I enjoy doing every day is checking out Craigslist to see if anyone is selling any cool computer parts or old Apple computers. The other day I stumbled upon a deal that just seemed too good to be true. The person was selling their brand new, current model 15" MacBook Pro. Not just the base model 15" MacBook Pro, but the…

The truth about soda (pop)

At one time in our lives, we have all drunken soda, or pop as some people may say. What really is so bad about this? Well, for one, me, as a person, am addicted to the caffeine in soda, (Of course there are other ways to get the caffeine...COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and the sugars that are in most sodas are just outrageous. As Chris once said, if you drink soda, you are slowly killing your body, and this is true. One thing that I am looking for is if anyone has done any studies on this,… Continue

Just How Much Will The App Market Grow?

Applications are the recent hit for the cell phone market, but only 29 percent of adult cell phone users have downloaded an app according to a Pew Research Center Publication.

A geeky weekend...

Hi all,

This weekend I found some GREAT stuff for you guys… I don't know how the weather is in your part of the world. But Belgium had the worst weather in 50 years… Everything flooded and 3 people died (Ok, this isn't funny). Therefor I looked for some wind/water movies and found these ones…

I'm into sports, though extreme sports are a little… extreme… for me… I don't think this was what meant to happen.… Continue

media files or compact discs?

So Apple finally gets to sell Beatles tracks on their Itune store. Then, is this what it will be in future? All new music will be media files? You will need a USB flash device to carry them just so you could play it on your hi-fi set. Whatever happened to the purchasing of the CD and you get to read the booklet within the CD case? Usually you get to enjoy the photographs, lyrics and any other stuff included. Already the effect was felt when I couldn't find cds of my favorite band in local HMV… Continue

Candy is dandy, but the internet is Quicker!

Hello, I’m Andy, 27 years old. I live in the beautiful, but politically weird country of Belgium — home of French fries, beer, and chocolate. I work in a candy store, which means I need to be at work at 7:30 AM, so all the little children can come and buy candy for school, and I stick around until 5 PM. My busiest times are of course when school begins or when it ends. During the day I’ve got loads of time and I spend most of it watching online… Continue

Protect the Funny !

Andy Aerts here, again. Waking up on 11/11 in Belgium is special. It's a national holiday called 'Wapenstilstand', the day the English and Canadians liberated Belgium from the Germans in the first World War. I grabbed my iPhone and saw that I had a lot of Twitter mentions & this was strange because I'm, like, a Twitter n00b. It was great to see Chris approved… Continue

Now there's blu ray 3d devices.

"First we needed a DVD player, then we needed a blu-ray player, and now we need a blu-ray 3D player. What are we going to need next?"

That's pretty much what an older family member was asking me as I got home with a requested copy of A Christmas Carol in 3D. Apparently they'd bought a DVD player to play a new DVD they bought, not 2 days before DVD players became obsolete at the nearby electronics store

I can only wonder..... I think these changes are going come faster and… Continue

Gmail is King

I'm SO fed up with people calling in with email problems because they use applications like Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail, and the list goes on. FLIPPING switch to GMAIL or any other webmail! I know it's handy to download your email and bring it with you any where you get a smart phone! Or export your email so you can see it when you happen to go offline, which I'm sure is not often.

I can't fathom why all of these people have not figured this out already.… Continue
