This Friday, or maybe Saturday, I am going with my family to California. My grandmother's brother lives in Pitssburg so we are going to go visit him for a few days. Hahaha! This will be extremely fun, I think! My aunt and uncle are also going with, and they're just pure awesome! Anyway, my uncle wants to go into San Francisco to see the Navy ships or something to that extent (can't remember). If he does end up going, I'm going to hitch a ride with him. I'd love to be able to come back to…Continue

In order for me to be honest, I must admit that Linux really does not need to go mainstream. We already know that Linux is a viable alternative to Windows via the Ubuntu and Linux Mint operating systems. Whether or not Linux becomes more popular or mainstream will not change that fact. It also will not change the fact that Linux has many advantages when compared to Windows.
However, do not misinterpret this as me giving the finger to potential new users. Far from. I…Continue
With the release of the Windows 8 Developer Preview, Microsoft revealed the new Metro interface on the desktop. While the idea of making Windows 8 more touch friendly makes sense, many desktop and laptop users cried out in protest against the use of Metro on the desktop. After the release of the Windows 8 Consumer Preview, it appears that Microsoft has done nothing to listen to the many cries of its user base. The bad news is that it appears Windows 8…Continue
The purpose of this quick article is to give five reasons for switching to Linux Mint without going into detail about the technical benefits of it. I figured that, if I succeeded in doing this, then Linux Mint should be easy enough for the average computer user (i.e. Windows users).
Doesn't Cost – As most…

Before saying anything more I should say that I am a cool-aid drinking Apple Fanboy. I’ve been using Apple devices pretty much exclusively for at least 20 years.
So there I was at a holiday gathering at my parents place with our family and a bunch of my parents older friends. Great time hanging with the over 70 crowd as usual. Sometime after dinner is where I usually end up pulling my iPhone or iPad and start goofing around. Someone ends up looking over my shoulder and…Continue

I had the idea to set up a WordPress blog instead of this. I think it would look nicer to have a whole site dedicated to my blog that I can design and edit how I want. I am doing this before i actually start so I don't have some posts here and some there. I am going to start setting it up when I finish writing this. I will have an RSS Feed reader on my profile, so you will still see my latest posts on there. I don't know how long it will take to design and set up the website, but we will…Continue

2011 was an amazing year for technology, but as quickly as technology evolves, be prepared to have your socks blown off as 2012 hits the ground. 2011 personally saw me adapt from a desktop, smartphone and (horribly slow) netbook to mostly using a higher end MacBook Pro (dual booting, of course), a smart phone, and towards the end, mainly replacing my…Continue

Creativity and originality, Were these not what started what we call "technology"?
Who ever though we would be using touch screens or watching a 3D TV in our homes. If we decide not to use as much creative and originality as before, will technology develop slower?
Many companies are very popular with there customers, these are the companies that make a lot of money.
These companies in most cases strive for…Continue

It's not a new concept, brand loyalty. Its been around forever. In the Tech world no two brands can be summed up more by brand loyalty than Mac v PC.
This however isn't a blog on that, there’s enough of those.
This is more aimed at the new loyalty war that arose without most people noticing.
In the phone industry you have a number of big players all fighting it out. For instance Blackberry. Now if you have a Blackberry Phone…Continue

Have you ever wanted to see how a blind person uses an iphone?? Well, now you can. There is a feature under settings>general>accessibility>voiceover. Before you turn voiceover on though hit the back button and go to triple click home. Going into this menu will bring up a list of options. You want to choose Turn voiceover on/off. With the arrival of the new Apple operating system called Lion for next June 2011, which many look forward to, and does that whenever he did not see a change in the UI of Snow Leopard, the interaction is much easier to have intuitive. Now I come to me a question..Microsoft copied Apple once again?
After reviewing and spending tons of time @ the apple store. I've decided to be very specific on what I want..I have had a macbook the white one, that came out last year, it was "ok".. I could "smuck" it around on a basic setup again, but why.... I've decided my next setup will be one that I will enjoy for many years, one in which I do mostly everything I want on it.. watch Leo, be in his chat room, watch Chris, be on twitter, blog, run another monitor if I want, etc.. so…Continue
