More Information

For a couple weeks I've been tossing up whether or not to buy the Imperial Edition.
I played a bit of the BETA, and for a short time (slow internet that day, got kicked) and can't say I was that impressed.
But, with that said, because I ~did~ get kicked, in BETA, I didn't really get to experience much at all, and my opinion is pretty small on it. It seemed kind of average from what I played, but I didn't get far enough in to really see the full extent.

What's everyone's opinion on it?
Yay or Nay on the Imperial and P2P?

I like the combination think, plan, shoot, puzzles, strategy, trade, in game upgrades, barter, interact with NPC's, missions, weapons and addons such as the Fallout series. I'll look into the ones you mentioned.

After playing open world games I just can't do linear games anymore, minus the Halflife2 series, those are exceptional.

DTM, that's basically what I thought. I didn't want to jump to it in case I missed something in BETA, but basically it seemed like an average MMO with a bit of Elder Scrolls Lore.

I didn't see what was special, nor what called for $70 base game, and than a continuation of having to keep paying (argh, cash cow)

I've actually played both Fallout 3 and New Vegas, both some of my favourites ^_^

Prey 2 looks interesting, but for some reason I've never really liked shooting games (007 on N64 and BF3 being the exceptions)

I'm a huge fan of good open world FPS/RPG games. I did review that one recently, and it looks way too typical. Also other reviewers said there was a lot of repetition in the game, sort of round robin. Also mentioned were too many cut scenes where you have to watch a lot of yammering, and you can't get out of it.

The one I'm anxiously waiting for is "Prey 2" where you become a bounty hunter on another world... now that one looks exciting. Bethesda is one of the best game creators out there, with the fallout series under their belts.

If you haven't already tried it I highly recommend Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas (both have a lot of add-ons/plugins that are awesome, get them all, they are still available on Stream. Both are open world with easily a couple hundred hours of play time each. The game games can be played many different ways with a lot of puzzles, challenges and shooting. You really have to think a lot, long learning curves.
