When What You Think Is Bad Turns To Good

Today, I went to pick up some contacts lens. The place was closed with a sign on the door saying they had gone to lunch and would be back in an hour. Woo hoo... they did not say when they left. I felt a bit put out because I made a special trip.

However, I decided to drive further up the street to another store that I had not been to in a while. On the way, I saw a sign. It said 70-80% closing. This was an advertisement for a grocery store. Wow, was the first thing that I thought. It would never have occurred to me that the store would ever close.

Anyway, I drove up there and went inside. The first person that I saw was my grandson with his other Nana. We chatted for a bit and I shopped. Amazing. Everyone knows how expensive good coffee is today. I bought coffee at 70 % off of the regular price. Eggs were 32 cents per dozen. I needed an expensive mop head. Only a $1.80 cents. I could go on and on. Today was the first day that they had things marked down so low.

I had planned to pick the lens up several days ago but didn't. Today was when I was suppose to go and the contact store was suppose to be closed when I got there.

So, wrapping this up, I could have been very upset with the eye glass store being closed and come home. But, instead, I decided not to allow it to bother me and to just take a bit of time to goof off. As it turned out, what I thought was bad at first, became a wonderful blessing.

Such is life many times. The things that we think will be terrible can become something truly great. Like losing a job. We might think the world has ended but we may end up with a job that we simply adore. Just stay positive and allow wonderful things to come your way. Being negative has never gotten a person anywhere other than in the dumps.

You are so right about this. Sometimes it's hard for us to look past the negative and into the future to what could be great. At the beginning of this year I was in a really bad place in life...drama, stress, serious debt, awful people in my life that would lie, use me for money, etc. I just figured it would always be like that for me...negative nonsense. I would never expect me to love life so completely like I do now. Things always work out in the end :) Good things happen to good people...that is why you got such great sales! hehe

And also...about the Kool Aid on your should see me some days after coming home from kindergarten....paint everywhere, markers, mess! haha

I know what you mean. Sometimes, I drink cherry favored Kool Aid. If I am not careful when making it, I will get it on my hands. Right now, I have red dye on my thumb and fore finger. I know I look a mess.

Ah this reminds me of the other day. I ran down to a local food mart here to get some AA batteries and they didn't have any, yes I am serious they had every other battery and brand but no AA's.

So I had to drive a little farther down the street in traffic to the gas station and when I got there they had Flaming Hot Cheetos...

I bought 2 bags and left with 6 and ate Cheetos for like a week straight.
