The downloaded image may actually have been damaged somehow, which I have also experienced. Maybe just download it again.

This always worked perfectly for me in burning anything to any disc, and it's free and simple.

i thought windows 8.1 would be installed via windows update down the road.

It is always easier to install an operating system via the official install disc more so then an .iso

but with the proper burning software it should still work..

Yes When windows 8 first came out they had the upgrade on microsoft sight so i purched is for $48.00 now there coming out with windows 8.1 witch also you can download from Microsoft or download the iso Microsoft put on there sight.

did you purchase windows 8, should of came with an install disc.

when i here windows + iso i think of someone pirating.

Yes i use Windows 7 but i wanted the windows 8 upgrade but like i said it wont burn the iso onto any discs
